Twisters

We partnered with Universal to help concept, create, and post on their official Twisters TikTok page (@twistersmovie)!

We strategically used pre-existing Twisters IP (like trailers and BTS) to create new assets that leaned into current trends on TikTok. It was also a major win to work with such a fantastic movie soundtrack… users love their sound-on! A very successful campaign overall that you can learn more about below in our “case studies”.

Inside Out 2

Disney reached out to us to help create custom CapCuts for Inside Out 2!

MediaNug is the first approved agency to create custom CapCut templates for clients, so Disney wanted to take full advantage of this with their fantastic cast of new & relatable characters in Inside Out 2. CapCuts are not only hilarious, but a great way to promote “co-creation” from TikTok users where they take your IP and put it over their own photos or videos…talk about a win-win!

Borderlands

MediaNug partnered with Lionsgate on their latest title, Borderlands!

During the campaign, we helped the team create Meta focused assets from pre-existing content that they had already captured - like these Claptrap city tours. We created 6x city recap pieces for Lionsgate and also helped with some scripting + custom animation pieces. Dìdi

In collaboration with Focus Features, Meta and the amazing creator @thecrunchbros, MediaNug created an epic Instagram reel to promote the movie Dìdi.

Jeff (thecrunchbros) and MediaNug went to the Meta office where Jeff interviewed the Director of the film, Sean Wang. They ate some of their favorite snacks, talked about the movie and how it came to the big screen.
About Dìdi: In 2008, during the last month of summer before high school begins, an impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy learns what his family can't teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love his mom.

Challenge

Universal Studios tasked MediaNug with building a social media campaign surrounding their new film Dog Man. Universal tasked MediaNug with filming content using the Dog Man costume, and recutting existing trailer content into fun-to-watch videos tailored to social media.

Solution

MediaNug filmed the content, edited it, and posted on the DreamWorks TikTok and Instagram page. It was an entire ordeal with a full day of filming and a TON of videos. Not sure what else to write here. Will ask the people who actually worked on it... Maybe I will cheat and not ask anyone... at least not anyone real. But I’m morally opposed to it, so maybe not.
