The Best of 2022 at MediaNug: TikTok Edition

We became official partners with TiKTok in 2022! As a part of the TikTok Creative Exchange, TT paired us with some incredible brands that allowed us to produce a bunch of great work for the platform. Check out our faves below!

Sittercity

For Sittercity, MN leaned into existing TikTok trends of roleplay and dancing to help the brand garner conversions from both parents and nannies. The ads performed very well - they cut CPAs by half of previous campaigns!

TrueCar

TrueCar held a sweepstakes to give one lucky person $5,000 toward a desperately needed new car. MN Had fun with this one, utilizing an original soundtrack and some very talented dancers for talent.

Hi-Chew

Hi-Chew, the classic fruit candy, wanted to target younger generations to bring back the candy from a nostalgia standpoint. MN focused on both Millenials and Gen Z to come up with some creative ways to sell through the “feeling” of the candy.

Doomlings

The team at unique card game Doomlings was looking for ads with a strong and entertaining story. The goal was not necessarily to drive conversions (they already have strong sales!) but to make content that people would share. The MN team had fun with this one with a custom shoot shot on iPhone to still feel very native.

Challenge

Universal Studios tasked MediaNug with building a social media campaign surrounding their new film Dog Man. Universal tasked MediaNug with filming content using the Dog Man costume, and recutting existing trailer content into fun-to-watch videos tailored to social media.

Solution

MediaNug filmed the content, edited it, and posted on the DreamWorks TikTok and Instagram page. It was an entire ordeal with a full day of filming and a TON of videos. Not sure what else to write here. Will ask the people who actually worked on it... Maybe I will cheat and not ask anyone... at least not anyone real. But I’m morally opposed to it, so maybe not.
