For Scream 6, the mission was simple: make Ghostface go viral. The franchise was heading to New York City for the first time, and Paramount needed a digital presence that matched the chaos, thrill, and self-aware humor that Scream fans live for. So what did we do?
We flew to NYC with a camera, a plan, and Ghostface in tow. Our goal: turn the city into his playground. From subway stations to bodegas, we filmed custom content with the masked icon himself, capturing reactions from real New Yorkers who weren’t quite sure if it was a promo shoot… or the beginning of a horror movie.
Solution
MediaNug created a series of TikToks and social edits starring Ghostface terrorizing the streets of NYC. The videos leaned into the absurdity and unpredictability of both the character and the city, giving fans exactly what they love: screams, chaos, and a wink at the camera. The content popped off, racking up millions of views and thousands of stitches, duets, and comments. Ghostface became a moment again—not just in theaters, but all over TikTok. Paramount x MediaNug brought horror to the streets and fun to the feed. Ghostface has never felt so... New York.
