MediaNug partnered on the campaign for Toy Story 5, developing a creator-first strategy designed to celebrate the franchise’s nostalgia while driving widespread organic social conversation around the highly anticipated summer release. Through immersive press experiences, exclusive talent access, and a large-scale launch party, the campaign engaged longtime fans, generated authentic creator content, and amplified excitement.

Solution

MediaNug executed a multi-phase creator campaign spanning press days, junkets, and a premiere celebration, resulting in more than 500 organic social posts. For the press experience, MediaNug sourced passionate Toy Story fans for a two-day activation at Disneyland, where they screened the film, explored the parks, and interviewed the film’s directors, producers, VFX artists, and other key creatives. The team also supported a walkaround press day, coordinating creator interactions with Woody, Jessie, and Buzz to produce playful social content. We also organized a junket session at Pixar Animation Studios in San Francisco, where a popular creator duo filmed a reaction video with the actor who voices Forky. To further amplify the launch, MediaNug managed creator attendance for TikTok and Disney’s Toy Story 5 official launch party, generating more than 350 additional organic posts. The event featured immersive, nostalgia-driven activations, including oversized coloring pages, craft stations, and a life-size mechanical Bullseye attraction. MediaNug also curated specialty creators as live entertainment, including a baker who created a larger-than-life Lilypad cake, a magician, and a face-painting duo, helping extend the event’s reach while creating memorable, highly shareable moments for attendees.
